Shari’s in the Community
What could be better than taking an active part in the communities we serve? Shari’s loves nothing more than helping out our families, friends and neighbors. We focus on the needs of the young and the young-at-heart. Those folks at opposite ends of the age spectrum are often the ones who need the most help.
Through a combination of gifts, sponsorships, discounts and donations, Shari’s provides ongoing, community-building support in many ways.
Boys and Girls Club
Shari’s loves to raise money to support the work of the Boys and Girls Clubs in the Pacific Northwest.
Shari’s is proud to give a military discount to all those who have given so much.
Meals on Wheels
Shari’s has supported the Meals on Wheels group for years, raising both awareness and dollars for them.

Shari’s strives constantly to reduce our impact on the environment. We are logically local in the scope of our programs and make it a priority to manage our energy and water consumption, waste production, and purchasing practices. In the past few years, we’ve cut electrical usage by more than 6%, and gas usage by more than 7%, all while generating 19% less waste.
Earth Friendly Initiatives
Ramped-up recycling program
We recycle trans-fat free cooking oil, and convert it into biodiesel fuel. Shari’s recycles many products, including clamshell recycling.
Energy Efficient Lighting
We began converting wasteful neon exterior lights to energy efficient LED bulbs at all locations.
Smaller Carbon Footprint
Shari’s initiated regular Energy Audits. Our ability to source many ingredients locally also saves energy.
Efficient Equipment Purchases
All equipment, from broilers to HVAC to stoves and ovens, is now purchased with an eye towards saving gas, electricity and waste.
Cage Free Eggs
We are committed to transitioning to 100 percent cage-free eggs by December 31, 2025. Shari’s, like our guests, is concerned with sustainability, quality, food safety, community involvement and animal welfare. We are working with our egg suppliers to ensure a smooth transition to a cage-free egg supply chain.
